2018 is quickly approaching and it has me sweating even though our temps are below freezing already. Where has this year gone? Am I ready to pull out Christmas decor and make New Year's Resolutions again already? I just don't know how I feel about that!
With the new year comes a new planner and one of my loves in designing those color-filled pages every year. I have been receiving multiple inquiries each day for the new printables and I am working overtime to try and get them done and out to you asap!
As those important dates, appointments, and events pile up for 2018, I wanted to give you a happy place to keep track of those until the full 2018 planner release.

The printable is designed to be printed landscape on standard letter sized paper (8 1/2" x 11").
It can be printed on a single sheet front and back and filled in with a pen, or it can be saved to your computer/phone/tablet and edited with Adobe Reader.
Again, you can download the free printable here.
Speaking of planners, I would love to know what you look for in a planner each year. What features are important to you, and what type of content helps your days/weeks/months run smoother? Do you like full size or half pages? Color or black and white? Vertical or horizontal daily columns? I am also open to suggestions for future releases so feel free to chat all things planners below.
these are wonderful! thanks a lot.

My favorite planner is an 18-month length, so I can organize during the summer (instead of during the busy holiday season.) I love the colorful Happy Planner by Create 365, and I adore using stickers and color-coordinated markers for all of our family activities. What a joyful sight it is, sitting by our computer in the mudroom off our kitchen! (I also save the old planners for future reference.)
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing, I would love to do an 18 month version!
DeleteHi Jen! I've missed You! So glad to hear your unique "blog voice" again. On to the planner topic. I gave up on a paper planner a while ago until this year. My cheapo medium sized planner got a lot of use this year but not for planning. My planner ended up being my repository for the things I had done. It became my "paper memory" for new passwords, when I changed the furnace filter, made a charitable donation, paid a big bill, who I talked regarding home projects (like contractors), when I bought something important, etc. You know, all those little odds and ends that just usually end up on a post it floating around at the bottom of your bag. Maybe this will inspire you or other readers who maybe don't see the value in paper anymore. 😀
ReplyDeleteI absolutely LOVE how you use your planner Nevenka! I think it is so great to use it as a log of important details, thank you so much for sharing. ♥
DeleteHello! Glad to see I'm not alone in wondering where the year went! For planner purposes, I really liked the addition of the Mon-Sun planner last year, but then got really confused as the monthly overview calendar each week was Sun-Sat. It just through me off often! I would love to have both in the same format for next year!

DeleteThank you, Jill! I will definitely remember that when doing next year's versions. I am a full convert to the Monday start as well! :)
DeleteI love colorful planners! :) I love horizontal days, and I saw one recently that had a horizontal day split where the left half was lined and the right half was lined with circles for a checklist, I LOVE that because I often use my planner for a daily checklist, and it's nice to have a part for events/plans, an another part for my to-do list. :)
ReplyDeleteOooh, I like how that sounds, I also use my pages as a To Do list of sorts. Thank you for chiming in!
DeleteI really like the horizontal one page calendar Sun-Sat with a to do list on the side. I agree an 18 month calendar would be ideal ( for future releases) I love getting a jump start on planning in July. I love colorful planners and full size pages 8.5x11. I am looking for a planner for next year, hopefully your 2018 planner comes out soon.
ReplyDeleteSo glad to see you back! Missed reading your wonderful posts. This is a great file to have - already downloaded and started to fill out but if I type under January it duplicates in July and if I then delete July dates, it deletes what I typed in January. Not sure if I'm missing something or not! Otherwise, love this freebie! As for you calendar, love the bright colors. I personally prefer blocks for days versus columns, and I like starting with Monday and ending with Sat and Sun next to each other. Visually gives me a good idea of what the weekend looks like. Can't wait to see what you come up with. <3 them all!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for the ideas and feedback Heather! And that is so strange about the duplication happening on the free printable download. I modified it and uploaded a revised version that should fix that issue. I apologize that was happening and for the trouble. ♥
DeleteThank you again!!
You are awesome! Thank you so much. Can't wait to get this filled in and printed - love it! Have a wonderful weekend.
DeleteI love the portability of 1/2 size of a daily planning sheet (portrait) but when I want do do big planning (month or longer) than I prefer 8 1/2 x 11 size sheets, and depending on the project I go back and forth between portrait and landscape.
ReplyDeleteI keep my budget completely separate from my planner, but I like to have meal planning in my planner. I love color pages, but I like having the option to print in B&W if I use the pages a lot.
Thank you for a FILLABLE page. I have horrible handwriting, but love printable planner pages, so this is a super sweet deal for me :)
Have a great day!
D.
Thanks D!
DeleteI solely use Google Calendar, which is synced with my husband. I used to love paper planners years ago but I barely have time to keep the electronic one up to date... I definitely don't have the energy to maintain paper and virtual!
ReplyDeleteHi Jen! I absolutely am addicted to your planners! I must have the Junior size! I use fountain pens a lot so printing my own with the paper you recommended was perfect!
ReplyDeleteI love the one I got last year except that for me the dates were very hard to read, even with new ink and best color printing. I am 46 and the eyes are going but one thing that would help is a slightly darker color on the monthly view.
I love when it's colorful
I prefer the horizontal days like I got last year!
I end up using the goals section for my meal planning because 5 blocks is perfect.
I like the Mon-Fri left pg and weekend on right layout.
I love the monthly view as it is.
I love the current 12 month size but would love the addition of Juniour size blank months (similar to what appears in each monthly view) that I could print out and date myself. Does that make sense? In other words, adding a Juniour layout of the monthly calendar from your time management printable kit. I currently print those on 8.5 x 11 fold and insert at the back of my calendar and have to remove and flip each time I need to add an appt. (which I am already scheduled into July!) which is a pain! This would solve my current problem of getting antsy for the next release.
That would make me very very happy and solve my yearly panic that starts in Aug/Sept.
Thanks Jen for listening! I'm so glad you're back but admire your determination to take whatever time you need to for family/self care. I think more bloggers need to set that example.
This was absolutely THE BEST feedback, Beka, and exactly what I was looking for. Thank you so much, and also thank you for the continued support. ♥
DeleteI just saw this! Thanks for being willing to listen! I tell everyone about your blog and planner, I love them so much! Yay!
DeleteI love the easier to read dates on the monthly view! I'm adapting to the new horizontal layout as well! Yay!
DeleteI purchased your planner in 2016 and loved it but last year I felt that I needed a page per day as we have such a crazy life! If you have an option for a page per day, I would love to go back to using your planners!
ReplyDeleteI would really love to add a page/day option! Thank you for the feedback!
DeleteHi Jen! I know this isn't related to this post, but I thought I remember you mentioning it a while back. What do you call those nice, sturdy plastic bags w/zippers that you get blankets/curtains/sheet sets in? Are they available to able to buy in multi-packs, preferably from Amazon? I love the ones I have for organizing bags and suitcases, but I'd like to snag a few more. Thank you so much!
ReplyDeleteHi Laura!
DeleteYou may be looking for vinyl sweater bags or space saving bags. Here are a couple of options on Amazon:
http://amzn.to/2yAubUx and http://amzn.to/2hyznFp that may help you with your search. :) xo!
It's so important to have that page at the back of your planner where you can write all those appointments and stuff that needs remembering for the new planner. It's my lifeline! Thanks for the gorgeous printable!
ReplyDeleteHi Jen, Happy Friday! Thank you very much for the free printable, it's just what I needed. Another thing that would be a nice addition is a year at a glance page at the end of your planner... so in looking at dates in the coming year, I could reference that prior to getting the new set of planning pages.
ReplyDelete* I love all of the color!
* I prefer the vertical daily pages, which I use as my to do list.
* I use the Goals section to write down general weekly goals that can then be incorporated into my daily to do list as I go through the week.
* I use the Notes section for my shopping lists.
* I use the monthly calendar pages for appointment and event notations.
All in all, I absolutely love your planners, and I am so thankful I found them several years ago! Thanks again and Happy Thanksgiving!
I love paper planners and have uses yours in the past with the Arc system. Right now I am looking for a planner that has Mon-Sun on one page horizontal and then the opposite page a list of to do's, things to remember, calls to make etc. I saw one at Target recently but I hated the colors. I don't have a lot of appointments and such for each days but I do have things I like to get done during the week, I just don't know what day it will happen.
ReplyDeleteHi Jen! I mid year 2017, I transitioned to The Happy Planner because I wanted to add my own decorations. I love the vertical (unlined) columns, as well as horizontal boxes (Really nice for journaling/bible verse writing & study. Definitely, Monday start with weekends together. I know you have created sizing for A5, Junior and Letter...but maybe you could look at the sizing for Happy Planner Classic & Mini and start creating some printables that are automatically sized? I still love printing the organization pages from you, but have a hard time re-sizing them to fit my Classic and Mini planners.
ReplyDeleteHi Jen - Everything is great already on the pages you've made in the past. I use the ARC system too in 81/2 x 11 pages. I print out the 2-page month view for each month. I also like to use the vertical week views. We homeschool so I sometimes need to see more details in a day. Maybe you could make an undated vertical weekly view since I don't use it all the time. I like the meals box at the bottom of the vertical weeks. Like others have said - having some undated month pages is helpful at this time of year because I'm ready to fill in dates for the new year. Love the colors!!
ReplyDeleteI'm excited for these to come out. My current planner is nice, but since I have two jobs and feel like I need a visual of how much time I have to budget, I've been drawing lines to have an hourly view. It's a vertical, weekly spread on two pages. I'm beginning a major project, too, and need to keep track of my progress and, more importantly, how to break it down into chunks. I never realized it would be so hard to find even planner printable that have the hourly format, even.
ReplyDeleteSince discovering the discbound systems, I have been leaning toward getting one.
I am still waiting patiently for the 2018 Planner to be released. Have I by chance missed the link or the post of its availability? Love this planner and really don't want to have to find another. Please advise! Thanks all!
ReplyDeleteHi Amanda!
DeleteThank you so much! The planner went live in my Etsy shop earlier this week.
