Items iHeart: Etsy Basket Round-Up

In a time when Target is constantly putting out the most darling and trendy home decor items, it is easy to get sucked into the beautifully displayed home departments while shopping for your weekly groceries.  Believe me, I know.  I have fallen victim to the perfectly curated decor and storage aisles at Target, West Elm, Container Store and HomeGoods far too many times.  And there is nothing wrong with that, but if you are looking to support small businesses and add a little something unique and special to your home, heading straight to Etsy is a thumbs up option.  In fact, I have been really challenging myself to head to Etsy first, and if I can't find what I am looking for there, then I check Craigslist and eBay.  Then I head out to the mass retailers.

I was recently looking for a few new storage pieces on Etsy, and I fell down a huge rabbit hole of amazingness.  You guys, there are so many superstar shops selling stunning storage; everything from a classic stripe to the trendy dipped, tasseled and shibori printed.  I thought I would share and highlight a few favorites, however, it truly was challenging to narrow it down to just ten.  Not only are these single pieces fabulous, the shops themselves have a lot to offer.  Enjoy!

Have a great weekend everyone!

  3. Hi, this was a great reminder! I was looking for a new garbage container for my car. I know, not a very exciting purchase, but I looked in Bed Bath and Beyond and also on Amazon, and couldn't find anything with any personality. I checked one of the links you included in your post and found an adorable quilted container with a vinyl lining. Thanks again!

  5. I tend to think of Etsy for jewelry, or perhaps decorative items. I did find a logo designer on Etsy! But armed with this information, I will definitely widen my search horizons on Etsy!

  6. Thank you for posting this and for advocating on behalf of small businesses! I definitely fall into the trap of furnishing with Target options out of convenience and have begun to worry it's all looking too generic. Custom, unique pieces are so much more special!
