Did you tackle a drawer? A pantry? Your fridge? Counter clutter? Freezer? Organize your meal planning process? Then today is the day to share and celebrate!
This month we have determined our problem areas and tackled those items head on! For us, it was trying out a meal planning service to save us some time, ensure we are eating healthy and giving us some diversity in our day to day meals. It was also time for us to tackle our pantry and create a baking drawer.

But enough about my projects. This day is about YOU!
Last month you blew me away with your dreamy office organizing, so I challenge you to do it again!
So LET'S GET THIS PARTY STARTED! Whether you gave your kitchen a face lift, organized a drawer, made some labels or DIY'd a produce organizer, I want to see it! And of course I know how busy everyone is so this party is open for a good long month, which will hopefully give you time to finish up your projects or even whip up a few more based on the additional inspiration you found within the link ups!

ReplyDeletei participated, but have no blog to share :( my favorite improvements were hanging a tiered wire produce basket, and converting two old lunchboxes into tea stash organizers. i used the tea boxes themselves cut down as dividers, inspired by your cereal boxes. now i don't have to dig for onions and garlic in the pantry, and i can find the tea i'm looking for (and not get beaned by a near-empty box of tea every time i open the tea cupboard door :P). i also thrifted three mismatches plastic bins for the freezer and i LOVE the improvement!

ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea!!! I don't have a blog, just a fan here. But I did take pics to show you how you have motivated me. I did not take the before pics, I did not know anyone would see them..but the after make my little heart sing every time I open my laundry room (which is in reality a closet...has the attitude of a "room") and my pantry. Thank you so much. Your blog is so positive, informative and beautiful. I even covered an old shoe box I keep next to my bed for when I organize my receipts for my expense reports...DYI for pennies and it looks so darn cute. Your card box inspired me. I just adore your site...adore it. Better than any home decor mag on the market for sure. Even though I can't upload my pics...know that you have inspired me beyond admiration into action!

ReplyDeleteI was inspired by you and organized my kitchen too! I loved Cape27's idea of Fabric + Contact Paper (genius!). I found a fabric I loved and sewed the contact paper on (because it was showing signs it wouldn't stay put when hanging) then hung it with velcro to the back of my upper cabinet. Now when I open the cabinet to grab a plate or a snack it makes me so happy :) I LOVE how it turned out!! I don't have a blog but would love to show before and after pics if it's possible to post pictures.

I don't have a blog (yet... :) ), but I reorganized my medicine cabinet. I found some cheapo plastic baskets at Walmart, 2 for $1, and may or may not have bought them out... It's so much easier to find the dispensers for medicine for the baby now that they're corralled in a basket!

ReplyDeleteThanks for all the inspiration! I love coming to see what you have done. I linked up with a picture of a Command Center I set up a few months ago (#147). It's pretty simple but works so well for us. It's just 2 frames I found in The Christmas Tree Shops and some cork strips I made from leftover squares. One frame has the monthly calendar in it and below that I put papers that I need to take care of in the next day or two as well as the monthly school lunch calendar. The other frame is left blank..on this one I write the next day's activities before I go to bed. It also has a list on the side with each kid's classes so we know when we have to send in instruments, wear sneakers, etc. It has made the mornings run so much more smoothly!

ReplyDeleteIt feels like it took me all winter to get my kitchen organized but it had to be done. We are building a deck and garden outside the kitchen door this spring so I wanted everything to be just right.

I made a little tutorial for anyone (like me) who wondered how you made that amazing plan. I'm looking forward to seeing the tutorial you create and learning more of your process!
SO many ideas to go through! As for myself, I"m not hitting anything until I get done cleaning the walls, baseboards and doors.. Thats where I am starting and today I started with two walls.. Each day I will do a little more :)

ReplyDeleteJen- I have question for you. I am currently redoing my pantry. I found some containers that I am putting all our different chips, crackers, etc. I am trying to decide on what labels to use. I was thinking about punching out the vinyl and using the dry erase marker to label like you did for some of your items. I just wanted to know how that is working. Does the writing come off easily, or does it stay on pretty well? What type of marker/pen did you use?

DeleteIt is working great. It comes off easily with a damp rag, but doesn't rub off or scuff. It's a great option. I use a chalk marker I found at Michaels.
