22 IHeart: A Lego Link Party!

The day has come my friends!  I promised you it would be here, and now that it is I can barely contain myself!

Oh yes, it is LEGO Link Party Day!

I shared our Lego organizing projects here, here and here, and now it's your turn!

So get out your blingy hats and whistles because we are going to party like it's 1999!

OK, I know I am obnoxious, but I am oddly excited about this link party!  I have gotten some emails with fantastic ideas and projects already and they are so full of eye candy, I can't wait to see more!  There is something so satisfying about seeing all of those little pieces sorted by color, or builds displayed neatly or project mats that allow for easy clean up...

And a button for you:

Let's bond over Legos.  Love em or hate em?  Feel free to share your link in a comment if you don't link up!

  3. LOVE LOVE Legos!! The creativity that they spark in my 6 year old twins makes them worth the money and the clean up hassle. I already own the Trofast system and am heading down to IKEA on Thursday to buy new small bins and then it's an afternoon of going to town on the LEGOs!! Thank you for the inspiration :-)

  6. What a great linky party! My boys are 4 and 2 so no legos for us yet but I was thinking about getting my 4-year-old a small set of legos for Christmas. I will be reading this post and visiting your links on how to keep them organized. Looking forward to reading about some ideas for the future. :)

  7. Our local mall recently added a new Lego store. My 4 yr old was literally in tears this weekend when we passed by and didn't go in! Looks like I need to get my older son's & hubby's Legos outta the garage. This will be great inspiration for ideas of how we can best organize them - great idea!

  8. Hello! I'm so excited about this! My sons' legos are TAKING OVER! I'm looking forward to seeing all the great ways people organize them!

I added this event to www.squidoo.com/blogevents ...any time you have an event in the future (linky events only...not including weekly ones) you can stop by and leave a comment to let me know about it, and I'll post it. Thanks!

  9. PS: There's a problem with the code for your button. You put img alt= and it should be img src= ...it was easy to change, but if people don't know how their button link will come up blank.

  12. I hope you don't find any ideas you like better!! I love legos. They are all over my living room floor as I speak. I hate stepping on them. I couldn't help myself - I just had to post Tim Hawkins' Lego commedy act - it is funny! <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CBhyskisVNM> (link)</A> Hope you like it!

  13. It's always great to see how folks tame the lego bricks.

  14. Oh my. Lego bricks. They are so much fun and hurt so much! I have no pictures to share, but each color of Legos in my house has it's own bin with lid. I wanted the bins to be secure since we have a 13 month old in the house in addition to the nearly7 and nearly 5 year olds. Legos have been a source of stress for me in terms of organization and have LOVED that you have taken so much time to organize and share yours! I just discovered your blog, and I HEART IT!

  16. Funny, when I first saw your post I was amazed as usual about your mad organizing skills. Then I realized my daughter has never had Lego's. Come to find out....those 'house' kits on on her Christmas wish list this year!

  17. I loved this post! I'm the odd woman out here. I don't have any kids but I still love LEGOs (they remind me of my childhood) and I love organizing. So, a post about both of these hit all my buttons!

  18. My blog is in Finnish, so most of you won´t understand what I´m writing about, but linked up anyway :)

We have barely organized Legos, but we scanned and printed the manuals! Then we used a binding machine and magically almost every manual is still in one piece.
