821 IHeart: My Oreck Air Purifier & A GIVEAWAY!

You all know that I have a severe obsession with a neat, organized and clean home!  And a lot of time when we think of the word "clean", we think of household cleaners and scrub brushes.  We also tend to think first about our surfaces, however, we often forget about something equally important, and that is our air!

So when the fine folks at Oreck contacted me to review their new air purifier, of course I said, "Yes Please!"

When it came, I quickly opened it up and plugged it in.  That was about it!  Super easy peasy setup!

It is compact enough that I can keep it at the end of our buffet in the kitchen, typically out of view:

What I LOVE:

•  It has a remote so I can change the settings from the other side of the living/dining/kitchen areas!

• There is no filter to change, EVER!  That keeps replacement filters out of a landfill and saves me boatloads of money throughout the year.
• It's easy to clean, you can just pull out the filter and clean with warm water:

•  There is also a brush that is right inside for quick cleaning in-between the more thorough cleanings:

• And a light that will notify me when it's time to be cleaned!  Love that!
• The odor filter requires zero maintenance!

 

• That's right, it has an odor absorber!  That means when we are cooking, using cleaners or one of the boys is just being a boy, the air purifier gets to work eliminating those odors from our air!
• The most important part, it acts as a magnet pulling dust and allergens out of the air like a magnet!  It was really great to have around as we just turned our furnace on for the first time this year, and I felt like we had more dust lingering in the home as usual.
• It's super quiet!  I don't even notice it's in the room, which is great because with a busy family a five, not much around here is quiet!
• The fact that it is Energy Star certified is always a win for us!
• It acts as a nightlight.  It's the little things that make me smile!
  

What I would have loved to have seen included:

• A built-in air quality sensor that adjusts fan speed automatically so I am not left to manage the fans when there is additional dust or odors in the air.

Overall I am beyond THRILLED and grateful for the experience of this air purifier and how it is helping us with our goal to keep all aspects of our home clean!  And because I know it's Oreck, I know it is built to last!
