21 Stationery Station

This weekend I teamed up with one of my favorite blogger's, Amanda from Our Humble A{Bowe}d, to go on a little shopping extravaganza!  Boy did we have a great day, chatting, shopping, chatting, getting lost and more shopping!

We hit up Ikea, Home Goods, Marshall's and a Goodwill.  I will share oodles more details about our day later this week!

I however, couldn't wait to share one of my most favorite finds of the day.  This little beauty is my new stationery station, and was only $6.99 at Home Goods!

I don't get to Home Goods enough, but I am totally smitten with their wide variety of unique items for the home, and I always make sure to scope out their selection of office goods.  Which is where I found my new desk bff here.  It's so angelic looking, and perfectly corrals my address book, custom stationery and labels.

It keeps a perma-grin on my face while I work on our stack of Christmas greeting cards!

Speaking of holiday greetings, how do I stay sane through it all?  Well, I just snag my favorite address book, type in all the addresses on this label template, and print 'em out, peel and stick!  Of course, I always add a little personal message on the back of the card, but the process of addressing them and mailing them is easy peasy!

And lastly, I need to thank my pal Emily from Regent Hill one more time.  I tried to snap a couple of family pictures on my own, but nothing compared to the perfection she captured for us this summer...

Happy Holidays from the Jones family!

Anyone else find anything so fabulous right before Christmas, you just had to snag it up?  What's your favorite way to corral your stationery supplies?  How did you handle your holiday greetings this year?  Electronically?  Photo Cards?  Handmade Goodness?  I would heart to know!

  1. Think it's about time for me to head to Home Goods again! I plan to redo my office space - want to put it in my double closet in the office/sewing room. I need to corral my supplies. Great idea. Thanks for the inspiration. I printed return labels and address labels for our cards this year. Wrote a great Christmas letter filled with family news - used a fantastic template that gave it some personality!

  2. So cute! I love how a new item can make such a huge difference =) I finally purchased a over the cabinet door dishtowel rack and it's making using towels (ok ok in my case, rags!) much easier and saving paper towels and trees! woot!

I couldnt resist a splurge at Pottery Barn this week! They had free shipping and these PERFECT little his & her ceramic knobs for the bathroom that match my entire decor to a T. I had to have them! I can't wait for them to get here!!!!

  4. Oh goodness that's just too cute. Did you paint the basket or did it come perfectly matched to your wallpaper!?

PS, I just adore how you always add such cute personalization to things (like the label on your address book).

  10. I love your Christmas card, what a beautiful picture. I have received so many cards this season from family and friends with kids, that only have pictures of the kids, not the adults. I wonder why? Did they lose their identity to their kids? Yours on the other hand, has your kids looking playfully into the camera and you and your husband sharing this private moment....priceless really. And says a lot of wonderful things about your family.

  11. That's so cute Jen. Wish we had a Home Goods store here in Australia. By the looks of it, they'd have some beautiful things. At the moment, I keep all my stationery in an old Tupperware container with compartments in my kitchen utility drawer. (I think it was originally used for TV dinners etc.) I'm currently setting up a sewing/office/crafting corner in my downstairs room so will be looking for new ideas.

I handwrote my Christmas cards this year using a leftover stash of Christmas cards I bought last year. For my daughter's school mates (29 of them) we handmade little cards. It was a small piece of card stock folded in half and on the front we made a collage of an angel cut out of a paper doily, a small pink face and a gold star brad as the halo. A small chocolate was bagged and stuck to the inside of the card by the brad. I also got my daughter to handwrite a message in various colours and scanned it and printed it on a label and stuck it in the card. Saved her writing it 29 times. (She's only 6 years old.) If only I'd taken a picture of it.

    1. Hi Kathleen,

The hanging containers, rail and hooks were purchased from IKEA years ago. The cups are the ASKER cups, but I am not certain they are available at the store any longer.

      xo!
